Yeah, I had been going through the TWiT page... will definitely support them if I decide to do this. Problem is, I find the audiobooks a little prohibitively expensive. For instance, "On Writing" by Stephen King is $7.99 on paperback, but the audiobook is $21.99. I understand Mr. King is reading his own book and that's great, but geez!
The time committment is part of what scares me off from the monthly recurring fee. I'm not sure I can invest in that amount of time to keep downloading books. I already have Netflix and I've had the same movies for a year!
They're that expensive? I had no idea! I guess you're paying big time for the convenience of listening and not actually reading the real thing on paper. ..
Yeah... see, it's a weird quandry and it doesn't seem like the prices are well balanced. I can get the paperback for $7.99, or the audiobook for $21.99 on iTunes. OR I could join audible.com and go with a $14.95 recurring fee with one free downloable a month and discounted prices on others. The recurring thing hits me hard because of my current thing with Netflix... yes, I've had the same damn movies for over a year. I just don't have enough time to ingest it!

Nobody has the time to do anything anymore. Not having the time to read a book? It's a bit sad really/.
